Novak Djokovic backlash grows as Emma Raducanu attacked by bugs

We are just two days away from the start of the Australian Open main draw, with excitement building ahead of the first Grand Slam of the new year.

Emma Raducanu was the only British player to draw a seed in the first round, having been pitted against Ekaterina Alexandrova in her opening match. Katie Boulter will face Rebecca Marino, while Jack Draper has been drawn against Mariano Navone.

He could potentially face Carlos Alcaraz in the third round, with Novak Djokovic also in that quarter of the draw. The 39-year-old will begin his campaign against teenage American wildcard Nishesh Basavareddy.

Elsewhere in the draw, British hopeful Jacob Fearnley has been handed a blockbuster debut against Nick Kyrgios, who faces a race against time to be fit after picking up an abdominal injury.
