Legendary boxer Mike Tyson did not visit Francis Ngannou’s camp before his upcoming fight, as reported by All Out Fighting.

During the preparation for his bout against Tyson Fury, Mike Tyson visited Francis Ngannou’s camp several times and assisted him. He observed Ngannou’s training sessions and offered advice, doing so three times. However, he was not present this time.

Former UFC champion Francis Ngannou compared his former and future opponents, Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua. Ngannou considers Joshua to be a more serious individual, while he likened “The Gypsy King” to a playboy.

In October, Ngannou made his professional boxing debut against Fury. The French-Cameroonian fighter lost by a split decision, despite knocking down the Briton in the third round.

The fight between Ngannou and Joshua is set to take place on March 8th in Saudi Arabia.

The five-year-old league touted that PFL MENA will become the preeminent MMA league in the Middle East when it launches in April 2024 thanks to an initiative with SRJ Sports Investments. SRJ, which acquired a minority equity ownership stake in PFL last year, became an investor in a new regional league.

Even though it’s still in its infancy, the PFL has been making hefty investments over the past year to cement itself as a household name, including acquiring rival Bellator in November and subsequently tripling its number of top 25 ranked fighters.

Now, it’s seeking to attract an even wider audience in the Middle East. It’s just one of many steps it’s taking to become a global leader in the sport, which has long been dominated by the UFC.

PFL owner Donn Davis told FOX Business that there is a significant amount of pent-up demand for MMA globally, and they’re seeking to capitalize on it. For one, of the 650 million MMA fans, 80% are not in the U.S., Davis said. Additionally, 50% of the MMA revenue is not in the U.S.

Melissa Brim has recently been a subject of considerable interest online, drawing attention across various social media platforms. As an entrepreneur and mother to Iyanna Mayweather, Brim’s life and career have become a focal point for many. Her connection to renowned boxer Floyd Mayweather has notably piqued public curiosity. This article delves into her story, her achievements, and the events that have propelled her into the spotlight.

Melissa Brim’s rise to prominence has roots in her relationship with Floyd Mayweather, a boxing legend with a flawless 50-0 record. Mayweather, known for his extraordinary boxing skills, has also been embroiled in personal controversies, particularly those relating to his romantic involvements.

Brim, a figure in the American business and television landscape, hails from St. Louis, Missouri. Born on September 30, 1975, she has crafted an identity as a strong, independent individual. Her journey began at a tender age when she joined the workforce at 16 and soon faced the responsibilities of motherhood, leading her to make the significant decision to leave school. Despite the challenges, Brim has always been dedicated to self-sufficiency and has consistently worked to support herself and her child.

Her personal life underwent a notable transformation upon meeting Floyd Mayweather Jr., who provided financial support but also inspired her to explore her interests further, especially in fashion. Before this relationship, Brim had a penchant for a more tomboyish style, which evolved as she received elegant gifts from Mayweather. In 1999, she accepted a position as a waitress at the Rio Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas and, even after becoming pregnant with Mayweather’s daughter, returned to her job shortly after giving birth.

Josh Sens, senior writer (@joshsens): Seems like an easy decision for Kim. Safe and sensible. So much so that I can’t imagine he really gave the PGA Tour much serious consideration. The route he has chosen is essentially a free roll. Guaranteed money. If he plays well, it’s heroic. If he struggles, he has a good excuse.

Jack Hirsh, assistant editor (@JR_HIRSHey): I agree with Sens. Kim will likely at least be getting the value of his insurance policy (reportedly $10 million) upfront. Do I think he wants to fly all the way to Saudi Arabia to go back to competitive golf? It’s interesting, to say the least. For LIV it’s a no-brainer because, at least for this week’s event and its next U.S. event (the week before the Masters in Miami), lots of golf fans will no doubt tune in to see the man who has become something of a mythical figure in the game. The timing is questionable given that LIV’s next two events are both in Asia, meaning the broadcasts will either be in the wee hours of the morning or on tape delay in other major markets.

Tour confidential: Anthony Kim's return? Charlie Woods and more

Sean Zak, senior editor (@sean_zak): This is gonna sell some tickets in Miami. You can bet on that. In fact, I LOVE the comeback starting in Saudi Arabia. Golf fans in the States will wake up to his scores every morning. And where can they watch highlights? LIV’s YouTube channel. LIV’s social feeds. Two weeks abroad, then back to Miami, which has probably been the most comfy location for LIV to date. All of that one week before Augusta. It checks out more than people will give credit to.

A heavyweight champion in the UFC, Ngannou made his professional boxing debut in a non-title bout against Tyson Fury, the reigning WBC champion.

Ex-UFC heavyweight champion Ngannou is currently preparing for his second boxing fight following his stunning debut against Tyson Fury last October. Ngannou recruited ‘Iron Mike’ to help him train for the Fury fight and the boxing legend’s services paid off as Ngannou put his rival down to only lose by a single point in a controversial decision.

Ngannou has been in Saudi Arabia for the past five weeks training at Tyson’s new boxing gym in Riyadh. “To be honest with this fight since my training was here [Riyadh], we didn’t get Mike Tyson here,” Ngannou told Mirror Fighting. “He came in like three times [for Fury], he was more advising. He would come and watch our training, we would be there to give advice.”

Undisputed boxing world champion Claressa Shields secured her second triumph in MMA with a hard-fought split decision win over Kelsey De Santis in Riyadh. This historic matchup marked the inaugural professional MMA bout in Saudi Arabia featuring two women.

Shields, a three-weight world champion in boxing, displayed visible emotion upon being confirmed as the victor. Reflecting on the challenges faced during her training camp, she expressed, “There were days when I was literally in tears. I didn’t want to go back because it was so hard.”

The MMA spectacle unfolded 18 months after British fighter Ramla Ali and the Dominican Republic’s Crystal Garcia Nova made history as the first female boxers to compete in a professional fight in the kingdom.

Despite recent reforms, women’s rights remain a significant concern in the country. Human rights groups assert that sports, including events like this, are being employed by the Saudi government to divert attention from enduring reputation challenges, labeling it as “sportswashing” due to investments in high-profile events.

The PGA Tour and Saudi-funded LIV Golf continue to throw money around to try to ensure the presence of top players in their events. PGA Tour sponsors are not at all happy with the watered-down fields they are paying for each week.

The television networks are equally unhappy. Other than the four major championships, there’s no Phil Mickelson or Dustin Johnson, no Jon Rahm, Brooks Koepka, Sergio Garcia or Bryson DeChambeau playing in any week-to-week PGA Tour events.

On the flip side, LIV still has no TV contract with a major network. It always will have the fact that it is a blatant example of sportswashing hanging over its head. And it’s tough to take seriously, with its 54-hole tournaments that have no cut and announcers trying to sell the notion of team play.

Tiger Woods Speaks Out on Withdrawal from Genesis Invitational: 'Disappointed'

Easy. It needs a new commissioner. This is not meant to be an attack on the current commissioner, Jay Monahan, who is charming and smart and a great salesman. In normal times, he would be a perfectly adequate commissioner. But these haven’t been normal times for several years now.
